This work concerns an application of robust optimization with recourse to an industrial problem of glass production subject to a strong processing time uncertainty. The problem is modeled within the framework of finite adaptability and its two-stage version is solved with the branch-and-bound algorithm of Subramanyam and al. Numerical experiments demonstrate the efficiency of the method. Along with this some extensions of this algorithm are discussed as well as theoretical evidences of validity of this framework.
